The opportunity:
The Production and Application Engagement Engineer are responsible for managing and supporting production-related applications, ensuring system stability, user adoption, and alignment with business requirements.
This role acts as a key coordinator between business users, IT teams, and external partners to drive efficient operations and continuous improvement in manufacturing applications.
How you’ll make an impact:
SAP Application Engagement Engineer. (50%)
Act as the main point of contact providing support for production applications (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, MES) to ensure smooth operations.
Ensure system availability, reliability, and continuity of production processes through effective issue resolution and escalation.
Monitor system performance and ensure data accuracy in SAP S/4HANA, with all transactions completed correctly and on time.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, Planning, Logistics, Maintenance, IT, BPO, and Developers) to support daily operations and system improvements.
Identify improvement opportunities and drive optimization initiatives for production systems and shopfloor operations.
Support system implementations, digital transformation initiatives, change/request management, and participate in testing activities (UAT, regression).
Define and track KPIs, ensure compliance with internal controls, and facilitate user training and adoption of new systems.
Packing Production Management (50%)
Plan and control production packing activities to ensure completion according to production schedules and delivery timelines.
Monitor daily packing output and performance, ensuring targets are achieved with optimal resource utilization.
Identify and resolve production bottlenecks, minimizing delays and improving overall packing efficiency.
Ensure compliance with quality standards and operational procedures in all packing processes.
Analyze packing performance and implement continuous improvements to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve delivery reliability.
Your background:
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, IT, Supply Chain, or a related field.
Minimum 5–10 years of experience in production planning, shop-floor control, SAP support, and/or production and process improvement in a manufacturing environment.
Strong hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA (mandatory), especially:
SAP PP (Production Planning) – mandatory
SAP MM (Materials Management) – mandatory
SAP PS (Project System) – preferred
Good understanding of ERP, MRP, and MES systems.
Solid knowledge of SAP master data, including BOM, routing, work centers, and production versions.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Good understanding of manufacturing and operational business processes.
Ability to communicate effectively with both IT and business users, and to act as a key coordinator between functions.
Demonstrated ability to drive improvement initiatives and support system implementation projects.
Proactive mindset with a continuous improvement approach.
Good command of Thai and English (written and spoken).
Able to communicate and work effectively with foreign colleagues and participate in new project implementations.
Experience in transformer manufacturing will be an advantage.
