Within the LATAM region, this role is responsible for overseeing domestic freight and distribution operations, ensuring cost control, service efficiency, and process standardization. The position supports sourcing initiatives, contributes to bid processes, and develops cost-effective distribution solutions. It also plays a key role in optimizing domestic freight flows and strengthening carrier management across the region.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and optimize domestic freight and distribution flows, ensuring service level and cost efficiency.
- Monitor and control domestic freight costs, identifying savings opportunities and driving financial performance.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance distribution efficiency and operational reliability.
- Support and contribute to freight bids, RFQs, and carrier selection processes.
- Analyze domestic freight performance through KPIs and drive corrective actions when needed.
- Strengthen carrier management, ensuring performance, compliance, and service quality.
- Identify and implement distribution solutions to improve cost, lead time, and service levels.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive end-to-end improvements.
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related fields
- Postgraduate degree or MBA in Supply Chain, Operations, or Business is a plus
- Certifications in Logistics, Transportation, or Lean Six Sigma is a plus
Minimum Experience & Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in domestic freight, distribution, or supply chain operations
- Strong experience with freight cost management and carrier negotiation processes
- Proven experience in distribution optimization and process improvement initiatives
- Experience supporting bids, RFQs, or freight sourcing processes
- Strong analytical skills with experience in KPI tracking and performance management
- Solid knowledge of domestic distribution operations, freight management, and carrier models
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to operate in a regional/multicultural environment
- English and Spanish advanced.
