The Security Officer monitors the facility grounds and buildings to ensure the safety of patients, staff, and visitors. They are responsible for responding to emergency codes, managing access points, and using de-escalation techniques to resolve violent or combative situations.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and be able to obtain an unarmed professional certification, BLS, and First Aid within 30 days. An Oregon driver's license is required, and previous experience in healthcare security or law enforcement is preferred.

As our Security Officer, you will monitor buildings and grounds on the property to ensure the safety and security of employees, patients, and other visitors. Every day you will monitor the property by walking and driving around the premises. Your security detail could include guarding facility and unit access points, monitoring surveillance cameras, testing new security technology, and protecting all employees/visitors against acts of violence should they arise. To be successful in this role, you’ll need the ability to remain calm and take action based on the situation, known facts, and understand the position limitations. You are also expected to respond to emergency codes in a timely manner. Previous experience in security/patrol in a healthcare setting is preferred.
