Job Summary

The Global Account Manager will be based in Zalaegerszeg and will report to the Sr Director, Business Development.

In this highly visible customer-facing role, you will be responsible for managing strategic European automotive accounts, driving customer satisfaction, profitability, and growth. You will serve as the primary commercial contact for key customers, working closely with global cross-functional teams to support business objectives and develop long-term customer partnerships.

This role offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to virtually every aspect of the business, interact with senior customer stakeholders, and develop a broad understanding of global automotive operations.

What a typical day looks like:

• Manage relationships with customers for post-awarded programs, overseeing contract renewals, changes, and maintenance
• Monitor account profitability, revenue performance, and key financial metrics.
• Lead commercial negotiations, including pricing adjustments, compensation discussions, and contract-related topics.
• Collaborate with Internal stakeholders to drive customer success.
• Handle customer escalations and support the resolution of commercial, operational, and supply-related challenges.
• Drive operating profit improvement initiatives and support cost optimization activities.
• Monitor the launch of new programs and support financial reviews to ensure business objectives are achieved.
• Identify opportunities to grow existing customer relationships and support new business development activities.
• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction while balancing customer expectations and business objectives.
• Travel regularly to customer locations across Europe to strengthen relationships and support business needs.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Account Management, Sales, Business Development, or a customer-facing commercial role.
• Experience working with multinational customers, ideally within the automotive industry.
• Fluent English skills, German language knowledge is an advantage.
• Strong commercial mindset and customer relationship management skills.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and business performance indicators.
• Strong negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to build effective relationships across all levels of an organization.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and solution-focused approach.
• Strong ownership mentality and willingness to take initiative.
• German language skills are considered an advantage but are not mandatory.
