Are you ready to discover the role of a Senior (Chief) Architect in Netcompany ?
As a Senior (Chief) Architect you will:
Lead and facilitate technical working group discussions involving diverse stakeholders from industry, standards bodies, public sector organisations, and trust service providers
Evaluate, assess, and provide expert guidance on the design and evolution of digital wallet ecosystems, including reference architectures, trust frameworks, security models, and interoperability approaches
Evaluate and provide technical expertise on secure communication protocols, including Messaging Layer Security (MLS), Matrix, Signal, Registered Electronic Mail (REM), and eDelivery
Define and assess security, assurance, and trust requirements for secure digital communications, including access control and authorisation models, strong authentication, secure key management, cryptographic binding and attestation where applicable, confidentiality, integrity, end-to-end encryption, replay protection, auditability, logging requirements, and non-repudiation
Contribute to the development of technical specifications supporting interoperability and standardisation, including common profiles, interfaces, APIs, data models, and interoperability frameworks for cross-border and multi-domain digital identity ecosystems
Translate regulatory and legal requirements, particularly those related to the eIDAS framework, into practical and interoperable technical architectures and operational models
Support the definition of conformance, compliance, and interoperability testing approaches to facilitate broad adoption and seamless ecosystem integration
Produce technical analyses, architectural recommendations, technical guidance, and decision-support materials for technical stakeholders and programme governance bodies
Qualifications
What would make you a fit for the role:
Minimum 10 years of professional experience in communication infrastructures, secure communications, digital identity, trust services, cybersecurity, distributed systems, or related technical fields
Proven competence and technical expertise, demonstrated through relevant professional experience and delivery of comparable technical work in one or more of the following areas:
Architecture and technical design of digital wallet ecosystems, including reference architectures, trust frameworks, security-by-design principles, and threat and risk analysis
Secure communication protocols and architectures, including the assessment of communication protocols and the definition of security and assurance requirements such as authentication, integrity, confidentiality, end-to-end encryption, replay protection, time-related evidence, and non-repudiation where applicable
Security architecture, including access control and authorisation models, strong authentication, secure key management, cryptographic binding and attestation, auditability, logging, and privacy-by-design principles
Interoperability and standardisation, including common profiles, interfaces, APIs, data models, cross-domain integration patterns, and conformance and interoperability testing
Technologies supporting digital identity, electronic identification, trust services, credential lifecycle management, cryptographic algorithms (including post-quantum considerations), remote identification and authentication, and privacy-enhancing technologies
Demonstrated expertise in communication infrastructures and related technical architectures, with:
A proven track record in engineering large-scale modern communication systems and translating complex technical requirements into scalable architectural solutions
Strong hands-on experience with contemporary communication systems and related architectures
In-depth knowledge of architectural design principles, implementation approaches, technology landscapes, and emerging industry developments, with the ability to independently conceptualise and evaluate technical solutions
Demonstrated technical expertise in one or more of the following communication protocols, with the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge across the broader ecosystem:
Messaging Layer Security (MLS)
Matrix
Signal Protocol
Registered Electronic Mail (REM)
eDelivery
Good understanding of the regulatory framework governing electronic identification, digital identity wallets, and trust services, particularly the eIDAS Regulation and its implementing measures, with the ability to translate regulatory requirements into interoperable technical solutions
Proven experience facilitating technical discussions and collaborating with multidisciplinary stakeholders across public sector organisations, standards bodies, industry, and international initiatives
Excellent analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and technical documentation skills
Full professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken
