The opportunity:
Test and assembly engineer is responsible for supervising and performing the assembly of LV and MV Capacitor Bank panels, resolving technical issues that arise during the assembly process, and conducting functional testing to verify that completed units meet technical specifications, safety requirements, and customer expectations. The role involves close collaboration with engineering, production, quality assurance, and project management teams to ensure on-time delivery of reliable and fully tested capacitor bank systems.
How you’ll make an impact:
Test Responsibilities
Perform functional testing on complete Capacitor Bank panels to verify correct operation of power circuits, control circuits, protection relays, switching sequences, and communication interfaces.
Lead and support customer Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and witness tests, ensuring all test activities meet contractual and technical requirements.
Identify, analyze, and resolve assembly defects and functional test failures in a timely and systematic manner.
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring test and assembly issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAC)
Assembly Responsibilities
Review assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment to verify accuracy and completeness prior to and during assembly.
Monitor assembly progress to ensure adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements.
Prepare accurate assembly inspection records, functional test reports, and handover documentation for each completed Capacitor Bank unit.
Your background:
3-5 years of hands-on experience in panel assembly or functional testing of LV and/or MV electrical switchgear, similar power equipment or capacitor banks is advantageous skills
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field.
Good understanding of electrical power systems, LV or MV equipment.
Experience in the setup and configuration for protection relays or equivalent devices.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and single-line diagrams accurately.
Proficiency in operating functional test equipment such as insulation resistance testers, hi-pot testers, multimeters, and protection relay testing.
Practical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for electrical assembly defects and functional test failures.
Good command of English skills.
Proficient in Autocad2D, Microsoft Office.
