Job DetailsJob Location: Main Office - Cleveland, OH 44114The Crisis Intervention Specialist (CIS) for the Police Co-Responder Team will work in partnership with officers from the Cleveland Division of Police as part of an innovative team dedicated to providing trauma-informed care to those in need of mental health services. Working directly with law enforcement officers, the CIS will respond to police calls in the community along with the officers when the call may potentially involve an individual experiencing a mental health crisis. The CIS will also complete follow-up outreaches to individuals who have come in contact with law enforcement to ensure they are linked to the appropriate supports and services in the community.

Primary Responsibilities

Conduct mental health screenings and crisis assessments
Provide information about community resources
Contact community providers to advocate for individual

Schedule

First shift, 5–8-hour shifts, various days, some of which will include weekends days
This is non-exempt, union position with a pay rate of $36.06 per hour.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, sociology or related field, with a minimum of 3 year professionally supervised work in the delivery of mental health, chemical dependency and/or social services
LSW, LISW, PC or PCC required
Valid Ohio driver's license with good driving record and proof of insurance
