Job Overview
The QA Technician I supports Quality Assurance & Food Safety programs through routine inspections, monitoring activities, record review, and documentation. This position provides an opportunity to learn about company quality systems, food safety programs, and regulatory requirements while contributing to the production of safe, high-quality products. Reports to the Quality Assurance Supervisor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Perform quality inspections on raw materials, in-process products, and finished products.
· Conduct routine inspections using an established Quality Management System.
· Monitor and document CCP’s, process controls, temperatures, and quality checks as assigned.
· Initiate product hold, release and disposition activities as directed.
· Collect product samples for testing.
· Verify employee compliance with GMP’s, sanitation, and food safety requirements.
· Perform basic quality testing and measurements, including organoleptic (five-sense) evaluations.
· Report on nonconformances and food safety concerns to QA leadership.
· Maintain accurate and organized QA records and documentation.
· Assist with internal, customer, and regulatory audits as needed.
· Participate in food safety, quality, and GMP training programs.
· Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications· 0-2 years of experience in food manufacturing, warehouse operations, food service, or quality assurance preferred.
· Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills with supervisors, coworkers, and operational personnel.
· Ability and willingness to work on a flexible schedule to support production and food safety requirements.

· Learn and follow plant procedures, specifications, and quality standards.
· Completes assigned inspections accurately, efficiently, and on time.
· Identifies and appropriately escalates quality and food safety concerns.
· Works effectively under regular supervision and collaborates closely with QA leadership and team members.
· Demonstrates attention to detail and commitment to food safety and product quality.
