Founding Account Executive US @ fonio GmbH

This founding Account Executive will lead fonio’s US go-to-market efforts, building early demand, closing the first customers, and establishing a repeatable sales motion alongside the founders and the Vienna team. This hands-on role is critical to proving product-market fit in the US and scaling fonio’s presence internationally.

What you'll do

• Drive the initial US launch by building localized landing pages, messaging, and basic tracking with marketing support.
• Win the first customers by running discovery calls, demos, and closing early deals.
• Turn early learnings into a repeatable sales motion and playbook for the US market.
• Build and activate local partners by identifying channels, pitching, and enabling co-selling.
• Own customer success for initial accounts: onboard, support, and capture feedback to improve product and positioning.
• Work closely with the founders and the Vienna team, including marketing and tech, to execute quickly.
• Scale the role over 6–12 months to become the main US owner and potentially hire and lead a local team.

What fonio is looking for

• Native English speaker.
• Ex-founder/operator or very strong experience in sales, business development, partnerships, or growth at a high-growth SaaS startup.
• Proven ability to plan strategically and deliver tactically—strong execution orientation.
• Ownership mentality, self-starter mindset, and clear communicator.
• Comfortable operating cross-functionally with marketing and engineering to launch and iterate.
• Willingness to work from Vienna for 3–6 months for onboarding and kickoff, with relocation or remote setup possible afterward.
