ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for supervising front desk staff and ensuring lodge operations meet our standards of excellence. Lead by example and engage with staff and guests in a friendly manner. Monitor day to day operations while providing necessary guidance to staff and assisting needs up Guests and Members.
Follow direction from management as a team player to complete the required tasks.
Report any maintenance issues, damage or safety hazards to appropriate department and follow through to final resolution.
Perform cashier functions to include: post of charges, make change and balance cashier drawer
Train and supervise front desk staff to ensure guest satisfaction.
Report any staff concerns to management.
Assist in guest services, where needed.
Follows established key control policy
Ensures proper credit policies are followed
Coordinate with Housekeeping to make sure rooms are cleaned and inspected for arrivals
Maintain Lodge supplies for the Front Desk and Housekeeping
Assist guests with all needs and resolve guest issues
Oversee the housekeeping team – schedules, inspections, orders and special projects
Respond to any reasonable task as assigned by manager
Make, confirm and cancel reservations for guests
Maintain open lines of communication with all employees within all departments
Provide solutions to problems for guests, associates and management. Use empowerment to exceed associate/guest expectations and resolve conflicts
Responsible for Group blocks and rooming lists
Assist in training new staff members
Scheduling Front Desk and Guest Services staff
Ability to lift, bend, twist, stand and walk for long periods of time
QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
College degree or equivalent experience.
Previous hotel experience, prior Front Desk Supervisor experience desired.
Excellent communication skills.
Exemplary customer service skills.
Ability to accomplish necessary tasks on the computer.
Ability to train staff, onboard new hires, and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
