Job DetailsJob Location: Houston, TX 77041The Sheet Line inspector will be responsible for inspecting the sheets to determine whether they meet quality criteria, accepting or rejecting them based on these standards. Rejected sheets will be set aside accordingly. The inspector will also assist with the housekeeping in the area as needed. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, the ability to follow instructions, effective communication skills, and the capacity for coordination and control movement.
DESCRIPTION
Use the right EPP and follow safety procedures.
Grab, check, examine, collocate, and separate sheets out of specifications.
Help to start up the machine.
Clean and wash rolls as requested by the supervisor.
Make housekeeping of the machine and areas as requested by the supervisor.
COMPETENCIES
Strong attention to detail and identify defects optically.
Manual dexterity.
Ability to operate press controls.
Problem-solving.
Safety-oriented mindset.
EXPERIENCE
Experience in Production within a manufacturing environment.
Basic mathematics and calculus.
PHYSICAL REQUIEREMENTS
Use of hands and fingers for precise movements
Ability to grab and hold sheets securely.
Capability to use both hands simultaneously for different tasks.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed primarily on the manufacturing floor, which may involve exposure to loud noises, machinery, high temperatures and chemicals.
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required at all times.
Spends the majority of time seating (approx. 10-11 hours)
