FirstHealth of the Carolinas – a private, not-for-profit healthcare network serving the Sandhills of North Carolina, and nationally recognized as a top 150 place to work in health care by Becker’s Healthcare three years in a row, is seeking a dedicated and patient-centered Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Benign Hematology Program.
Position Highlights
- Practice within a multidisciplinary cancer program that brings hematology, medical oncology, radiation oncology, genetic counseling, clinical trials, palliative care, and supportive services together under one roof.
- Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
- 100% outpatient. No nights, weekends, or hospital call responsibilities.
- Collaborate closely with a supervising hematologist to evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, order additional diagnostic testing, and facilitate specialty referrals as needed.
- Work alongside an experienced and highly collaborative team including Hematologists, Medical Oncologists, Nurse Navigators, Genetic Counselors, Social Workers, and supportive care specialists.
- Participate in a coordinated, patient-centered model of care focused on delivering high-quality outcomes and exceptional patient experiences.

Qualifications
- PA must be a graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program and have NCCPA certification.
- NP must be a graduate of a nurse practitioner education program and have national certification.
- At least 2 years of Advanced Practice experience, preferably in pulmonology, oncology, or thoracic surgery.
- Clean background, NC license, NC DEA, and AHA BLS certification required.
