About this role
JOB SUMMARY / INTRODUCTION
The Specialist is responsible for executing strategy for aligning the demand/supply (i.e. procurement) of goods and services for specific sourcing category area of responsibility.
The Specialist will deliver measurable and demonstrable value to the Organization by using strategic sourcing, commercial and legal negotiations, contract enablement, and life-cycle management for specific sourcing category areas of responsibilities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Technology Sourcing Specialist is responsible for supporting suppliers and contracts to deliver value, minimize risk, and improve services for their area of responsibility.
- The specialist assists with providing accountability, process compliance, and sourcing benefits from category management. They support ensuring the best commercial value is negotiated and obtained for purchases. Specifically, the buyer helps prepare requests for quotations, participates in negotiations, and identifies appropriate suppliers (considering price, quality, conditions, etc.) in collaboration with the requesting department.
- The Associate works with the Category Manager and SVM team to execute category plans including:
- Contributing to annual category procurement plans through analyzing contracts, spend, usage patterns, future demands, and benchmark data.
- Supporting transformational change through category strategies such as demand management, specification review, and grouping similar goods and/or services.
- The Specialist supports ensuring Sourcing is aligned with company strategies and delivers results.
- They assist with updating market intelligence and incorporating changes into strategies.
- The specialist helps monitor and report strategic savings and identify new opportunities to minimize savings gaps.
- The specialist provides support to FAB Organizations to drive productivity, including sharing best practices, benchmarking, market intelligence, etc.
- They participate in and contribute to the development of the SVM through stakeholder engagement.
- This role provides a great opportunity for a new graduate to gain experience in procurement operations, category management, and stakeholder relations.

- Functions within the framework and boundaries of Group policies as well as overall organisational and governance frameworks.
- Authorised to take decisions as per the approved authorisation matrix.
REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS
- English required
- 0-2 years experience in procurement, supply chain, or related field
- Understanding of technology category management principles
- Strong analytical skills to contribute to sourcing analysis and strategies
- Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with stakeholders
- Aligns with business strategy and engages stakeholders
- Can operate in a matrixed, performance-driven structure
- Detail-oriented with ability to manage projects and vendors
- Passion for driving change and delivering results
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Motivated to continuously expand procurement knowledge and skills
- Interest in managing complex supplier relationships
This role provides an excellent opportunity for a graduate to gain broad experience in strategic procurement and stakeholder engagement in a complex global organization. The successful candidate will be developed to take on additional responsibility in category management, vendor negotiations, and project leadership.
