Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Housekeeping Supervisor, the Environmental Services Aide helps maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout patient care and non-patient areas. This important role supports infection prevention efforts and ensures a positive experience for patients, visitors, and staff.
What You’ll Do:
- Perform routine and detailed cleaning of patient rooms, offices, public areas, and other assigned spaces
- Maintain a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment
- Clean and disinfect beds, restrooms, furniture, fixtures, and equipment
- Replenish supplies and remove trash and linen promptly
- Safely operate and maintain cleaning equipment
- Follow infection prevention guidelines and safety procedures
- Properly use cleaning chemicals, personal protective equipment (PPE), and safety equipment
- Respond to department needs and complete assigned tasks efficiently
Qualifications:
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Preferred:
- Previous hospital or healthcare housekeeping experience
Additional Requirements:
- Must be 18 years old to operate certain floor machines and carpet equipment
