Overview
Fast Enterprises is a provider of essential software and services for citizens and government. In 1998, we changed the way government revenue agencies support their business with the introduction of GenTax®. We have expanded beyond Tax and now also perform implementations for Motor Vehicle, Driver License, Unemployment Insurance, and Child Support Engagement agencies.

Much of the work at FAST happens on our client sites as part of our product implementations. Individuals who understand the technical aspects of system implementation as well as the business needs of our clients fill these positions. Employees participate in the full project lifecycle, from requirements-gathering through production support. Technical Team Members should have strong technical and communication skills, enabling them to interact with clients and detail system functionality.
Qualified candidates will join one of our locations and work fully in-office. All candidates should be flexible in regard to work location and comfortable working on site with clients.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field (graduates from all areas of study with technical training or experience will be considered).
3.0 minimum GPA.
Experience in VB.NET, C#, or equivalent development language experience.
Exposure to SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or a similar database management system.
Familiarity with networking, operating systems, servers, cybersecurity, cloud technologies, or system administration.
Comfortability with troubleshooting technical problems without the help of outside resources.
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills—comfortable working directly with technical and non-technical stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
Strong sense of personal ownership and pride in your work.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and serve as a dependable technical resource for others.
Enthusiasm to take on challenges, be curious, grow, and learn from others.
Experience building PCs, managing home labs, working in technical support roles, or administering systems is a plus.
Responsibilities
As a Technical Team Member, you will participate in the full project lifecycle, from infrastructure planning and environment setup through production support and ongoing system optimization. Much of the work at FAST happens on our client sites as part of our software implementations. Individuals who understand both the technical foundations of enterprise systems and the operational needs of our clients fill these positions. Candidates should have strong technical and communication skills, enabling them to collaborate with government IT staff and FAST team members to ensure successful system performance and deployment.
Consult with agency IT staff and project teams to understand technical requirements and implement infrastructure solutions that support the FAST software.
Work with your team to troubleshoot complex issues and respond quickly to changing project requirements.
Identify, investigate, and resolve infrastructure, database, security, and application-related issues to maintain system stability and performance.
Configure and maintain client-specific environments, including application servers, web servers, databases, integrations, security settings, and system access.
Create and modify SQL queries to troubleshoot issues, support data conversion activities, optimize performance, and maintain relational databases.
Install, configure, test, and deploy FAST applications and technical components across development, testing, and production environments.
Monitor system performance and implement tuning, indexing, architectural, and configuration improvements to support real-world usage and scalability.
Collaborate with agency IT staff, security teams, database administrators, and FAST consultants to ensure environments meet security, compliance, and operational requirements.
Serve as a technical resource during implementations, rollouts, and production support activities, including participation in on-call support when necessary.
Provide technical guidance and support to FAST team members and client stakeholders when troubleshooting workflow, infrastructure, or system-access issues.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to company policies along with all relevant laws when exposed to protected client information.
