Key Responsibility Areas:

• Control and train subordinate staff, taking corrective action where necessary. 
• Issue work and work instructions,including outside breakdown comapanies. 
• Diagnose defects on a variety of vehicles. 
• Supervise work carried out by Artisan. 
• Maintain safe working practices and comply with OHS Act. 
• Test vehicles from workshop and vehicles returning from agents. 
• Inspect and test air compressor pressure vessels,hydraulic cranes,aerial platforms and items of plant and vehicles maintained/serviced by the Plant and Vehicle workshops. 
• Assist the Superintendent to monitor the activities of the standby generator maintained and inspect these on a regular basis. 
• Allocate the use of workshop vehicles to subordinates and manage the usage thereof. 
• Allocate the use of workshop vehicles to sub-ordinate and monitor the usage thereof.

Qualifications

Essentail Experience 

• 5 Years relevant experience., 

Computer Literacy. 

Essential Qualifications 

• Relevant Trade Certificate, Valid motor vehicle drivers licence (EC1) - Valid PRDP. Preferred Qualifications 
• Advanced certificate in Road Transportation.
