Key Responsibility Areas:

• Supervises staff.
• Responsible for the ripening of bananas and various other fruit.
• Attends to ripening rooms faults.
• Promotes the Market.
• Investigates, attends to queries, ensures health and safety regulations are adhered to and
inspects/reports on the quality of produce.
• Responsible for receiving, checking and issuing produce at the multi-purpose (ripening) rooms.
• Undertakes stock audits.
• Identifies faults and reports breakdowns at the ripening rooms.
• Operates temperature monitoring systems.
• Checks on security of produce and the ripening rooms.
• Provides relief for Manager (Cold Store and Multipurpose Rooms).

Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

• Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent and a Warehouse Management certificate or any other
  relevant and equivalent certificate.
  • Valid forklift or reach truck certificate.
  • 3 Years relevant experience.
  • Computer Literacy.
   

Preferred Requirements:

• Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Warehouse Management or any other relevant and equivalent qualification.
  • 4 Years relevant experience.
   

Special Conditions: 

• Post is interchangeable with the position of Supervisor (Cold Store).
• 40 hours, 6 days a week.
• Physical Requirements:  Ability to work in a cold environment.
