About this role
SUMMARY
Primarily responsible for preparing and routing new and renewal quote requests as well as organizing and routing supporting quote and policy documents for Century Underwriting department. Provides support to external customers (agents) and the Underwriting department by maintaining acceptable service levels, production metrics and quality of work completed. This role is heavily administrative in nature and will progress from needing frequent supervision to moderate.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Utilize multiple internal and external sources to complete new and renewal quote requests from external customers.
- Create customer correspondence as needed.
- Utilize multiple internal and external sources to complete renewal quote tasks that have been identified by our internal renewal bot.
- Organize and route supporting quote and policy documents to various internal departments for further review and/or processing.
- Enters data into the computer system and accesses general policy information.
- Monitors completion of daily assignments to ensure timeliness.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or G.E.D. required
- One (1) year of customer service and/or data entry experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- One (1) year of experience in an AF Group role that provides the skills and knowledge necessary to perform the role.
- One (1) year of related experience processing insurance policies (policy issuance, premium and non-premium bearing endorsements, etc.…)
- Progress toward or completion of associate in insurance (AINS) 101 designation.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability and proficiency in the use of computers and Company standard software specific to position (Business software/applications, Microsoft Word and Excel).
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-functional, multi-state business unit.
- Effective organizational skills and ability to prioritize work.
- Ability to proofread documents for accuracy of spelling, grammar, punctuation, and format.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to enter alpha/numeric data accurately.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet established deadlines.
- Ability to recognize process modifications for unique requests.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed in a virtual office and in the field with no unusual hazards. Drivers’ license for field travel is required.

PAY RANGE
Actual compensation decision relies on the consideration of internal equity, candidate’s skills and professional experience, geographic location, market, and other potential factors. It is not standard practice for an offer to be at or near the top of the range, and therefore a reasonable estimate for this role is between $34,700 - $58,050.
