Job DetailsJob Location: Midtown - MPOWER - Nashville, TN 37203Position Type: PRNJob Shift: DayWe are looking for a motivated PRN Physical Therapist to join our outpatient orthopedic and sports medicine team. If you enjoy working with patients, have experience with manual therapy, and are passionate about providing excellent care, we’d love to meet you!

What You’ll Do

Evaluate and treat patients with orthopedic and sports-related injuries
Develop individualized treatment plans and provide patient education
Perform manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and appropriate modalities
Complete accurate and timely documentation
Communicate with physicians and their staff regarding patient care
Supervise and work closely with physical therapy technicians
Participate in continuing education and professional development
Help promote a positive team environment focused on clinical excellence
Follow HIPAA, OSHA, CPR, CLIA, and practice compliance standards
Attend team meetings and complete other duties as needed

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral level degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited university required
Extensive training in orthopedic care preferred
Manual Therapy skills preferred
Management experience preferred
Physical Therapist must be licensed in the state of Tennessee
Minimum of two years of experience in a physician office or orthopedic setting (new graduates must demonstrate superior ability to perform through a clinical affiliation or by other comparable means)
Ability to manage multiple patients and administer appropriate modalities
Extensive knowledge in exercise physiology, bio mechanics, and exercise prescription (work towards Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist from the National Strength and Conditioning Association or Performance Enhancement Specialist from the National Academy of Sports Medicine is preferred)
Working knowledge of manual therapy techniques
Working knowledge of billing issues, CPT codes, and basic knowledge of
Insurance related issues
Comfortable effectively using MS Office programs including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook
Ability to work with Practice Management software
Pleasant speaking voice and demeanor
Good communication skills and the ability to perform patient education duties
Neat and professional appearance
