Ed Morse is currently seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Process lien payoffs, calculate commissions, post new/used retail deals and wholesale transactions.
- Bank Reconciliation
- Review designated functional area(s) and prepare and post any necessary month end journal entries.
- Prepare effective account reconciliations with supporting documentation; research and follow up on differences from the expected balance.
- Provide assistance to and communicate with various departments regarding monthly accounting reports and other accounting-related documents/information and to explain accounting department policies and procedures.
- Other daily accounting duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Demonstrate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Power Point used in the analysis of financial data is required. General knowledge of accounting-related information systems is required.
- Proven experience in automotive billing or a similar role.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Knowledge of billing software and systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of titling process preferred but not required.
- Minimum 2 years of dealership experience
- Prior automotive accounting experience strongly preferred
- Ability to manage a high-volume workload accurately
- Strong organization and follow-through
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
