POSITION SUMMARY
Under limited supervision, The IT Systems Specialist II provides advanced technical support and administration for the organization's information systems, network infrastructure, cloud services, cybersecurity initiatives, and end-user computing environment. This position serves as a technical resource for troubleshooting complex hardware, software, and network issues while supporting the stability, security, and performance of enterprise systems. The incumbent works independently on routine assignments and participates in IT projects, system upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Systems Administration
Administer and maintain Windows servers, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure, and related enterprise systems.
Monitor system performance, availability, and resource utilization to ensure reliable operation.
Manage user accounts, permissions, security groups, and access controls.
Perform system configuration, patch management, software deployment, and upgrades.
Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.
Administer different systems Zscaler, Cisco networking equipment, MDM is Intune.
Administer Exchange Online email system.
Technical Support
Provide Tier II and Tier III technical support for end users across multiple locations.
Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, operating system, and application issues.
Escalate unresolved issues to vendors or senior IT staff as appropriate.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and user guides.
Support onboarding and offboarding activities, including hardware provisioning and access management.
Network Support
Assist with administration of local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), wireless networks, VPNs, and internet connectivity.
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
Support network equipment including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
Coordinate with vendors regarding telecommunications and network services.
Cybersecurity and Compliance
Monitor security alerts and assist with incident response activities.
Implement and maintain endpoint protection, vulnerability management, and security controls.
Support cybersecurity awareness initiatives and security policy compliance.
Assist with audits, risk assessments, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Maintain system access controls and participate in periodic access reviews.
Project Support
Participate in IT infrastructure projects, system migrations, and technology deployments.
Assist with evaluating new technologies and recommending improvements.
Coordinate implementation activities with business stakeholders and external vendors.
Support testing, validation, and deployment of new systems and enhancements.
Asset and Vendor Management
Maintain inventory of hardware, software licenses, and technology assets.
Coordinate warranty repairs and vendor support activities.
Assist with procurement and lifecycle management of IT equipment.
Administer and maintain end point security solutions. (Essential)
May conduct training to educate an organization’s computer users about basic and specialized applications. (Essential)
Mentor Systems Specialist I (Essential)
Comply with EBARA safety policies, including participation in and completion of all required safety training. (Essential)
Maintain clean and safe working environment compliant with Ebara safety policies. (Essential)
Perform other duties as assigned. (Non-Essential)

Education
Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Experience
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of progressively responsible IT support or systems administration experience.
Experience supporting Microsoft Windows environments and Microsoft 365.
Experience administering Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra ID, and endpoint management tools.
Experience with networking fundamentals, cybersecurity best practices, and enterprise application support.
