Job Scope/Overview
• Responsible for identifying dangerous objects and preventing those objects from being transported through screening locations • Carry out duties in a professional and courteous manner, providing exceptional customer service • Use diverse, cutting-edge electronic detection and imaging equipment • Perform metal detection searches, pat down searches, operation of x-ray machines physical searches of property, and other identification review as needed • Additional security related duties to ensure safety to the traveling public
Requirements:• Legally eligible to work in the United States • Must possess a current Florida Class-D Security License • High School Diploma or G.E.D. • Must read, write, and speak English proficiently • Must be able to pass a verifiable background check, including criminal employment, education, and personal references • Must possess valid state-issued Driver’s License or a valid state-issued I.D. card • Must be able to pass pre-employment / annual / random drug screenings • Must have reliable transportation • Must be able to work and interact with the public • Must be able to work around the flexibility and changing schedules. This includes being available to work shifts throughout the day, afternoon, evening and overnight as required
Physical Demands• Ability to stand for long periods of time with few breaks • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. • Ability to twist, squat, and bend over without physical limitations • Ability to perform patrols including walking long distances and going up and down stairs • Ability to protect yourself or others in the event of a physical disturbance • Must be comfortable with conditions that range from Summer Heat to Winter Conditions • Open availability without restraints due to other part time jobs, etc
