Stocker/Cashier

About The Role

We are looking for a dependable, energetic Stocker/Cashier at our Oakland Store. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys staying busy, working with customers, and helping keep a retail store organized and running smoothly. In this hourly, full-time position, you will support daily store operations by stocking shelves, maintaining accurate inventory levels, and operating the cash register to complete transactions quickly and accurately. Using tools such as NetSuite, Square, and RF-SMART, you will help keep inventory records up to date and ensure customers can find the products and foodservice equipment they need. This role is ideal for someone with at least 1 year of experience in stocking, cashiering, or similar retail work who enjoys both hands-on tasks and interacting with customers in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do

• Stock shelves, displays, and storage areas with products and foodservice equipment according to store standards and planograms
• Use NetSuite, RF-SMART, and related tools to assist with inventory counts, stock movements, and basic data entry
• Monitor inventory levels on the sales floor and in back stock, replenishing merchandise as needed to maintain product availability
• Maintain clean, orderly, and safe aisles and work areas, promptly addressing any hazards or spills
• Operate Square or other POS systems to process cash, credit, and other payment transactions accurately and efficiently
• Provide friendly, professional customer service, answering product questions and helping customers locate items
• Assist customers with carry-out services for larger or heavier items, following proper lifting and safety procedures
• Support accurate pricing and labeling of merchandise, including checking price tags, signage, and promotional displays
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to prioritize tasks and meet daily stocking, inventory, and sales goals
• Follow all store policies and procedures, including cash handling, loss prevention, and safety guidelines
• Participate in regular inventory counts, cycle counts, and audits to help maintain accurate stock records

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a stocker, cashier, or similar customer-facing retail or warehouse role
• Basic experience with stocking, inventory handling, and product organization in a store or warehouse environment
• Prior cashier or point-of-sale experience, preferably with Square or a similar POS system
• Familiarity with inventory or ERP tools such as NetSuite and RF-SMART, or willingness to learn quickly
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage courteously and professionally with customers
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items, including boxes and equipment, in accordance with job requirements
• Able to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods during a full shift
• Basic math skills for handling cash, making change, and checking quantities and costs
• Good attention to detail and accuracy when stocking, scanning, labeling, and ringing up merchandise
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work a full-time hourly schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed
• English language proficiency sufficient for reading instructions, labels, and safety information and communicating with customers and team members
