The Production Control Coordinator is part of the Production Control team and supports the planning and scheduling of work orders in accordance with the production schedule. This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate production and inventory data, supporting daily operations, and coordinating with multiple departments to ensure smooth workflow execution.
Job Summary
Generate and maintain manufacturing work orders in accordance with the production schedule
Provide inventory status and availability information to support sales and production requirements
Process Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and update affected work orders accordingly
Assist with daily production meetings and provide status updates as needed
Perform general clerical and data entry tasks related to Production Control activities
Coordinate and communicate with other departments including Planning, Purchasing, Engineering, Inventory, and Manufacturing
Maintain accurate and timely records within the ERP system
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Production Control Manager
Qualifications
Experience working in a manufacturing environment (planning, production control, or expediting)
ERP system experience (SYSPRO preferred)
Strong computer skills and comfort working in multiple systems
Excellent organizational and time‑management skills
Proactive and professional communicator, both written and verbal
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to input data quickly and accurately
Flexibility to work overtime as production demands require
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required
Five or more years’ experience in a manufacturing environment preferably in planning, production control or expediting
Fluent in Microsoft Suite including Word and Excel
Working Conditions & Required Physical Requirements of Position:
Climate‑controlled warehouse and office environment
Combination of standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods
Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
