The Role

The Wax Process Engineer / Process Owner serves as the primary technical authority for the entire wax pattern and wax mold assembly preparation value stream. Located on-site at our Oxford, Alabama, aerospace investment casting facility, this role owns the process stability, wax injection parameters, and assembly standards required to produce high-integrity wax assemblies. The engineer’s mandate spans from the receipt and quality validation of ceramic cores, into pattern and mold ancillary component wax injection, final mold setup methods, and preparation for shell loading. This role directly impacts downstream casting quality by driving dimensional repeatability, minimizing inclusion defects, eliminating assembly-induced stress, and maintaining strict fixed process controls for our turbine blades and vanes.
