About the Role:

The Detailer position at our Katy Store is a vital role focused on ensuring that vehicles are meticulously cleaned, polished, and maintained to the highest standards. The primary goal is to enhance the appearance and condition of vehicles, contributing to customer satisfaction and the overall reputation of the store. This role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. The Detailer will be responsible for preparing vehicles for sale or delivery, ensuring every surface is spotless and protected. Ultimately, this position supports the sales and service teams by presenting vehicles in their best possible condition, thereby driving customer trust and business success.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in automotive detailing or a related field.
  • Ability to work standing for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and bending.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in automotive detailing or related training.
  • Experience with specialized detailing products and equipment.
  • Knowledge of paint correction techniques and protective coatings.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols related to chemical handling and equipment use.
  • Customer service experience in an automotive or retail environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough cleaning of vehicle interiors including vacuuming, shampooing carpets, cleaning windows, and wiping down all surfaces.
  • Wash and wax vehicle exteriors to remove dirt, grime, and minor imperfections, ensuring a polished finish.
  • Inspect vehicles for any cosmetic damages or issues and report them to management for further action.
  • Maintain and organize detailing equipment and supplies to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Collaborate with sales and service teams to prioritize vehicle detailing schedules and meet customer delivery deadlines.
