TITLE: Student Involvement Resource Center (SIRC) Staff
FLSA STATUS: Student Employee, up to 10 hours per week during academic year
DEPARTMENT: Office of Student Involvement
REPORTS TO: Office of Student Involvement Graduate Assistants and Professional Staff
OPEN TO: Undergraduate Students
PRIMARY PURPOSE/POSITION SUMMARY:
Are you looking to be more involved on campus? Are you comfortable with being a little cringe? Do you value inclusive spaces on campus? Do you like meeting and engaging with new people? Becoming a SIRCL might be for you! You will serve as resource in the Student Involvement Resource Center (SIRC) and Underground spaces, manage resources, support programming, create marketing materials, provide information and support for student leaders and registered student organizations, monitor the Underground space, help in the promotion of our DUBeInvolved engagement platform, and assist the professional staff. You will also work to promote the mission and goals of the Office of Student Involvement.

JOB COMPONENTS/PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
General Duties
- Serve as a welcoming front facing presence in the SIRC
- Assist Office of Student Involvement professional staff with department sponsored programs and events
- Maintain the publicity and promotional postings around campus
- Inventory of resources held within the SIRC and its storage facilities
- Late night and weekend work may be required
- Perform other duties as requested, delegated or assigned
Student Involvement Resource Center (SIRC) and Underground Duties
- Create publicity and promotional materials for office sponsored events including banners, flyers, social media posts, and other formats
- Track the use of the SIRC and use of resources by the Dominican community
- Maintain and update bulletin boards and go on publicity runs
- Be a resource for student organizations, campus partners, and guests
- Commitment to keeping the space clean
- Monitoring the Underground throughout the day
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Reliable, creative and flexible
- Willingness to welcome new people into a space
- Possesses strong written, verbal, and organizational skills
- Must be kind, welcoming and inclusive
- Must be enrolled as an undergraduate student at Dominican at least part-time in a degree-seeking program
- Must be eligible for US employment
- If hired in the summer, applicants will be expected to attend a training before the beginning of the year
