About this role

  • Adhere to Safety, Health and Environmental (SH&E) policies and procedures. Responsible for the completion of Hot Work, Line Break, Lock, Tag & Try, contractor work permits and other SH&E permits. Maintain a questioning attitude to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and Work Instructions. Complete necessary forms, charts etc, to document the process. Respond appropriately to process variations.
  • Ability to safely work with hazardous materials.
  • Daily inspection of equipment. Troubleshoot equipment as needed and perform preventative maintenance
  • Ability to work in a team environment and move to where the work is required. Train co-workers on the job tasks as required.
  • Perform housekeeping and 5S. Operate forklift and other motorized transportation equipment as necessary.
  • Communicate the status of the operation to the shift following. Report to his/her workstation on time in order to receive operation status from previous shift.
  • Attendance at work is an essential function of the job.

EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing plant ‘
  • Experience with welding, electrical and mechanical work.

 SKILLS / CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to read and follow SOP’s and work instruction and work safely
  • Working with others and dealing with people
  • Willingness to participate within a team environment
  • Motor coordination
  • Follow precise standards
  • Welding, steel fabrication, ability to use hand tools
