This dedicated port operation offers hourly pay, no-touch freight, and consistent routes hauling shipping containers between port terminals and customer locations. Position Highlights:
- Home daily
- Monday-Friday schedule with early morning start times
- Occasional Saturday work available
- Haul loaded and empty shipping containers between port terminals and customer locations
- No-touch freight
- Mix of drop-and-hook and live unload freight
- Day cab operation with container chassis equipment
- Average one-way trip of approximately 20 miles
- Paid orientation
Requirements:
- Valid Class A CDL
- Hazmat endorsement required
- TWIC card required
- Minimum 6 months of recent container or tanker experience within the past 3 years
- Strong safety focus and customer service skills
- No pets or passengers permitted
Pay & Benefits:
- Starting pay: $25.00 per hour
- Additional $10 per Hazmat delivery
- Additional $5.00 per hour for weekend work
- $500 transition bonus
- $3,000 driver referral bonus
- $250 orientation pay
- Consistent local routes with daily home time
