Senior Software Engineer – Frontend & Mobile
About this role
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will build the products at the heart of that platform — across web and mobile. You will ship code, with AI as a core part of your workflow, that handles customer interactions across telephony, email, chat, and social messaging. You will also build and maintain the Dixa Messenger mobile SDKs that power in-app customer support on iOS and Android devices.
You will build, test, and document fast, beautiful, and complex web applications that serve as the primary work tool for thousands of agents every day, as well as the native mobile SDKs that open Dixa to a whole new market. Your projects will include Dixa Messenger (web and mobile), satisfaction surveys, and our flagship product, the Dixa Agent interface.
You will have the opportunity to influence product, design, workflow, testing, and basically everything, and contribute to technical and architectural discussions across the entire Engineering team.
This is a business-critical platform. We run on a microservice architecture with high uptime, a rich public developer API that customers and partners build on, and we manage our cloud with infrastructure-as-code on AWS. React powers the frontend, Scala (functional programming) powers the backend, and Kotlin/Swift power our native mobile SDKs. AI plays a central role in both the products we build and the tools we use to build them, and we expect engineers to lean into AI-focused development as a core part of how they work.
Your primary domains will be frontend and mobile, but backend work is part of the role too. You will have freedom and autonomy to choose the tooling that fits your personal preferences, and we will provide all the equipment you need to do your best work, from a cool office in Copenhagen.
You will join a very senior team of software engineers with a strong culture and real pride in what we have built. Who you are
You have professional experience working with React and feel right at home building applications at a full-stack level.
You have hands-on experience building native mobile applications for Android (Kotlin) and/or iOS (Swift), and are comfortable working across both platforms.
You have experience building or contributing to mobile SDKs that other developers use.
You have prior experience building single-page applications.
You are open-minded and a good listener when it comes to other people’s ideas, and you voice your own ideas with confidence.
Working in a team comes naturally to you; you are easy to work with and value others’ input.
You are ambitious and want to make a difference where you work, eager to contribute to a positive and productive environment. You are excited about applying AI to your day-to-day craft and to the products you ship.
The qualifications and experiences outlined in this job description serve as a guideline. We welcome applicants with diverse backgrounds, as long as they can demonstrate the essential core competencies.
