About this role

To develop and maintain testing solutions to ensure quality products are built according to design and, to deliver quality outputs on general software, firmware, and hardware projects.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS / KPA’s (Responsibilities, Accountabilities & Duties)
  • Design & deliver high quality output within agreed deadlines and driving projects to completion
  • High quality tester development, jig building, test, and integration process development
  • Maintain and upgrade existing test processes
  • Test process and manufacturer support
  • High quality prototype   building, testing, and design input where required
  • Support internal teams on delivered features
  • Ongoing contributions to internal resources (wiki, knowledge share, process documentation etc.)
  • Understand & align evaluation goals with comprehensive findings
  • Attend firmware & hardware weekly meetings

Knowledge:
  • Electronic communication standards
  • Electronics & reviewing schematics
  • Microcontroller architecture
  • Electronic testing processes and methodologies
  • Principles of software development 
  • Source control practices

  • C programming language proficiency 
  • C# programming language proficiency
  • Basic soldering skills
  • Project Management/planning & scheduling

EDUCATION (Qualifications, Certifications, Accreditations & Licenses)
Electrical Engineering Degree or equivalent

PERSONAL & PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT & TRAINING
  • Project management
  • Product knowledge & exposure 
  • Domain ecosystem understanding
  • Upskill on specific tool/language proficiencies

EXPERIENCE 
  • 0 to 2 years of firmware development experience
  • 0 to 2 years of product manufacturing experience
  • 0 to 2 years of software development experience
