THE ROLE

Savvy Smart Deals is looking for a senior ecommerce operator to run the business end to end.

This is not a traditional General Manager role, and it is not a fit for someone whose background is primarily corporate operations, manufacturing, retail, consulting, brand marketing or supply chain.

You will own:

- Conversion rate, AOV, CAC/CPA, ROAS and LTV
- Inventory, purchasing and forecasting
- Warehousing, fulfillment and logistics
- Customer service, refunds and chargebacks

- Team performance and growth

You will effectively operate Savvy as the business owner and be responsible for turning products into profitable, scalable ecommerce businesses.

Candidates must have meaningful hands-on experience in ALL of the following areas:

1. ECOMMERCE / DTC
- Personally operated or materially scaled an ecommerce or DTC business
- Strong understanding of Shopify, Amazon, marketplaces and/or direct-response ecommerce
- Understand the full online customer journey from traffic through purchase, fulfillment and repeat purchase

2. ONLINE MARKETING
- Strong practical knowledge of performance marketing
- Paid media, affiliates, publishers, media buyers or traffic partners
- Understand CPA/CAC, ROAS, RPC, CVR, AOV and LTV

- Able to decide quickly whether to scale, change or stop an offer based on economics

3. LOGISTICS & INVENTORY
- Inventory planning and purchasing
- Demand forecasting
- Stockouts and excess inventory
- Supplier coordination
- Warehousing and fulfillment
- Shipping and logistics
- Working-capital implications of inventory decisions

4. CUSTOMER SERVICE
- Experience managing customer-service operations in an ecommerce environment
- Understand refunds, returns, chargebacks, complaints and service levels
- Able to identify customer-service problems that are hurting conversion, retention or profitability
- Experience building or managing processes that improve customer satisfaction while controlling cost

BUSINESS & P&L

- Own revenue, gross margin, contribution margin, profit, budgets and forecasts
- Manage marketing spend and operating costs
- Review business performance frequently and take corrective action quickly
- Ensure every major product and channel has clear unit economics
- Manage cash and working capital with discipline

PRODUCTS & SOURCING

- Continuously identify strong new product opportunities
- Evaluate demand, competition, margin and scalability
- Work directly with suppliers and sourcing teams
- Negotiate price, MOQ, terms, production and lead times
- Understand landed COGS
- Manage product launches and seasonal planning
- Decide what to launch, scale, improve or discontinue

MARKETING, TRAFFIC & OFFERS

- Own positioning and offer strategy
- Approve pricing, bundles, discounts, upsells and recurring-revenue opportunities
- Direct landing pages, advertorials, checkout, creative and video strategy

- CVR
- AOV
- Affiliate payouts
- Payment approval rates
- Refunds and chargebacks
- Inventory levels and turns
- Recurring revenue

Decisions must be based on economics and data, not opinion.

WHO WE WANT

We want a proven owner-type ecommerce operator, not a corporate administrator.

The ideal candidate has already run, built or materially scaled an ecommerce, DTC or direct-response consumer-products business and understands both sides of the business:

CUSTOMER ACQUISITION + OPERATIONS

That means you must be comfortable moving in the same day between:

- Reviewing CPA and ROAS
- Improving an offer or funnel
- Negotiating with a supplier
- Reviewing inventory and forecasts
- Fixing a fulfillment problem
- Reviewing customer-service issues
- Managing the P&L

Strong candidates will have:

- Senior leadership experience
- Direct P&L responsibility
- Proven ecommerce/DTC operating experience
- Strong online performance-marketing knowledge
- Experience launching and scaling products
- Strong sourcing and supplier-negotiation experience
- Inventory and logistics experience
- Customer-service management experience
- Shopify/direct-response experience
- Strong financial and analytical ability
- Strong technology and practical AI skills
- Excellent English

International ecommerce, Asian sourcing, Amazon, affiliate marketing, recurring revenue and payment optimization are strong advantages.

THIS ROLE IS NOT FOR YOU IF

- You have never run or materially scaled ecommerce
- Your experience is primarily offline retail, manufacturing or traditional corporate operations
- You know brand marketing but not performance marketing
- You cannot explain CPA, ROAS, CVR, AOV and LTV
- You have never dealt with inventory, fulfillment or logistics
- You have never managed customer-service performance, refunds or chargebacks
- You prefer managing through meetings rather than making fast commercial decisions

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

Success means building Savvy into a larger, more profitable global ecommerce business through:

- Strong new products
- Profitable online traffic
- Faster launches
- Better conversion
- Higher AOV and LTV
- Strong sourcing and margins
- Excellent inventory management
- Reliable fulfillment
- Better customer service
- Lower refunds and chargebacks
- Accurate forecasting
- Consistent testing and optimization
- Increasing revenue and profit

WHY JOIN

This is an opportunity to run an entire ecommerce business, not one department.

You will have significant authority, direct access to ownership, strong internal resources and meaningful performance-based upside.

If you have already built, operated or scaled an ecommerce business and want full responsibility for the outcome, we want to speak with you.

Also add these as mandatory binary screening questions. Any NO to Questions 1–4 should normally mean reject before resume review.
