Description
We are seeking an experienced Manual Machinist to join our team. This role requires hands-on experience operating a LeBlond manual lathe and machining large components ranging from 48" to 60" in size. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of producing high-quality work while maintaining efficiency.
Shift - 1st or 2nd both are available, you can pick
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate LeBlond manual lathe to machine large parts (48"–60")
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Perform measurements and inspections using precision measuring tools
- Select appropriate tooling and calculate speeds/feeds
- Maintain dimensional accuracy and quality standards
- Perform routine machine maintenance and keep work area clean
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies

Requirements
- Proven experience operating manual lathes (LeBlond preferred)
- Experience machining large parts/components
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional manual machining experience (mills, grinders, etc.)
- Shop math knowledge and understanding of tolerances
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or repair environment
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, move, or position heavy materials with assistance/equipment
- Standing for extended periods
- Working in a shop environment
