Daniels Health is offering a $1,000 new hire bonus for joining our amazing team in Hayward!
We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer focused driver who can operate a box truck (26 feet) across the Hayward, CA area. You will be collecting sharps and medical waste containers from our healthcare customer locations and delivering a high level of customer service daily. This role offers a high degree of autonomy, stable hours, access to some OT and good benefits. Our vehicle fleet is modern and well-maintained. \nWhat will your job involve?
- Collect, deliver, and store medical waste containers at customer sites
- Provide professional, courteous service and build positive customer relationships
- Operate 26ft box trucks safely in all conditions
- Complete routes on time and communicate delays or issues as they arise
- Load and unload containers; organize your truck and day to meet your schedule
- Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections and report issues immediately
- Follow DOT regulations, log hours correctly, and support roadside inspections
- Work with dispatch and teammates to resolve route or customer problems
- Own up to mistakes, report incidents accurately, and follow through on fixes
- Delivery experience within any industry where you have dealt with manual handling (advantageous not mandatory)
- Willingness to work full time hours, approx. 40 hours a week
- Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations
- Passing our 7 Year FADV review in the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse
- A flexible, can-do attitude with a strong customer focus
- Experience operating vehicles in a safe manner (as large as 26 ft box trucks)
- Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours, roadside inspections
- Confident in a road check level 1 through level 3
- Proven longevity in past employment

- Consistent work hours – 4 days a week, 10 hour shifts, 2 AM- 12 PM, must be willing to work 1 Saturday per month!
