· Work closely with geologists, engineers and other stakeholders to integrate data findings and software solutions. · Prepare detailed reports and presentations for internal and external audiences. |

Education |
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology, Geophysics, Data Science, Computing Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. |
Experience |
· 3-5 years of experience in geology, geological data science, or geophysics, with demonstrated expertise in handling large geological datasets. |
Designations & Certifications |
· GIT, P.Geo or equivalent. |
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities |
· Familiarity with mining software (e.g., Leapfrog, Vulcan). · Strong foundation in geology, including mineralogy and structural geology. · Proficiency in GIS (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) for spatial analysis. · Expertise in data science, including statistical analysis and machine learning. · Skilled in programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL, with experience in developing data-driven tools. · Familiarity with mining and exploration software like Leapfrog or Vulcan. · Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. · Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical concepts clearly. |
Working Conditions
Fieldwork
- Exposure to harsh weather, extreme temperatures, and challenging terrain, which can cause discomfort and physical strain.
- Potential hazards include wildlife, difficult topography, and adverse weather, varying by project and season.
- Geological core logging requires lifting up to 60 lbs repeatedly and periods of intense focus.
