Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Perform daily jobsite safety meetings and enforce company safety standards.
Supervise daily milling and asphalt paving operations on heavy civil construction projects.
Lead and coordinate paving crew to safely meet production goals.
Plan daily work assignments and ensure crews have the equipment and materials needed.
Coordinate with Superintendents, Project Managers, truck dispatch, subcontractors, and plant personnel.
Monitor paving quality, grade, smoothness, and compaction to meet project specifications.
Assist with scheduling equipment, trucking, and manpower.
Read plans, grades, and project specifications.
Identify and solve field issues while maintaining productivity.
Train and mentor crew members while promoting teamwork and accountability.

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of asphalt paving or heavy highway construction experience.
Previous experience as a Paving Foreperson, Lead Person, General Foreperson, or equivalent leadership role.
Strong understanding of:
o Asphalt paving operations
o Milling operations
o Roadway reconstruction
o Asphalt placement and compaction
o Production scheduling
o Traffic control and work zone safety
Ability to lead crews in a fast-paced environment.
Experience operating or working alongside paving equipment is highly preferred.
Ability to read construction plans and specifications.
Valid driver's license.

Commercial paving
Full-depth roadway reconstruction

Compensation:

Competitive wage commensurate with experience.  Excellent benefit package including company paid health, dental and vision insurance with a company-funded retirement plan. 

Salary Range: Prevailing Wage

Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as related work experience, market conditions, education/training, certifications and other credentials, overtime when applicable, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
