Public Safety Support Manager
About the Role
CRG is seeking a Public Safety Support Manager to join our Public Safety Support Team. This role is central to designing, delivering, and continuously improving emergency preparedness training, tabletop exercises, and technology tools for critical infrastructure clients — including schools, hospitals, transit centers, event venues, and commercial businesses. The ideal candidate will bring or quickly develop deep expertise in emergency response frameworks and will work cross-functionally with Regional Directors, Public Safety Support Managers, and CRG's Software Development team.
Primary Responsibilities
- Master the principles of domestic emergency and law enforcement response, with a particular focus on active threat incidents in critical infrastructure settings (schools, hospitals, transit centers, etc.). This includes, at minimum, developing familiarity with:
- Incident Command System (ICS)
- FEMA's Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP)
- FBI's Active Shooter Attack Prevention and Preparedness (ASAPP)
- ALICE training
- The "I Love You Guys" Foundation Standard Response Protocol (SRP) and Standard Reunification Method (SRM)
- PASS's Safety and Security Guidelines
- Design templated tabletop exercises — deliverable in-person or virtually — covering a range of critical incident scenarios, from active threats to facility disruptions.
- Catalogue exercise materials for easy access, and train Regional Directors and Public Safety Support Managers on their use.
- Support Regional Directors, as tasked, with scenario design and material preparation for client-facing tabletop exercises.
- Facilitate tabletop and full-scale exercises for CRG clients and public safety end users.
- Audit the data management processes of the Public Safety Support Team; prepare an improvement report for the Director and Vice President of Public Safety Support, and be prepared to execute on recommended solutions.
- Master all features and use cases of the CRG Ops Planner and associated CRG Portal tools (current and future).
- Conduct regular sync meetings with the CRG Software Development team to stay current on new and pending features.
- Build and organize Ops Planner template designs for a variety of emergency and non-emergency overlays across different location profiles and mapping types.
- Prepare and deliver training sessions for public safety agencies on Ops Planner best practices.
- Assist the National Director of Software Sales with GXP On-Scene management, troubleshooting, training, and best-practices materials.
- Build master templates for emergency response and security preparedness across critical infrastructure profiles, including schools, hospitals, event centers, public transit centers, and commercial businesses.
- When contracted, assist in reviewing, updating, and publishing security preparedness policies for private and public entities.
- Develop familiarity with Critical Infrastructure Threat Assessments, and be prepared to guide clients through in-person or virtual threat assessments — using established or custom-built frameworks — in support of grant applications and sales efforts.
- Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by CRG senior management.
