We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Banquet Houseman to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. The Banquet Houseman plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of banquet events by assisting with setup, breakdown, and maintaining cleanliness and organization of banquet areas. This position requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a team-oriented attitude.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in setting up banquet rooms according to event specifications, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, and equipment.
• Support banquet servers and staff during events by replenishing supplies, clearing tables, and maintaining cleanliness.
• Break down banquet rooms after events, including removing linens, stacking chairs and tables, and cleaning the area.
• Ensure all banquet equipment and supplies are properly stored and maintained.
• Report any maintenance or safety issues to management promptly.
• Assist with moving and transporting banquet materials as needed.
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in banquet setup or hospitality preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic knowledge of safety and sanitation standards.

Work Environment

This position involves physical work in banquet and event spaces, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods. The Banquet Houseman will work indoors and occasionally outdoors, depending on event locations.
