Application Engineer

Team Credo is looking for a High-Speed Transceiver Application Engineer to join our mission to transform connectivity at scale. This role will play a critical role in advancing semiconductor technologies through innovative design, development, and testing. This position offers opportunities for cross-functional collaboration in a high-tech environment, ideal for professionals passionate about microelectronics and integrated systems.
 
Base salary range is $80,000 - $130,000 a year. The base salary offer will depend on factors such as education, experience, training, skills, qualifications, and location. This position is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, equity and a full range of medical and other benefits.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, Physics, or related field.
• Hands-on experience with high-speed transceivers such as QSFP-DD, OSFP, AEC, and related lab instruments (e.g., oscilloscope, BERT and VNA).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate across hardware, firmware, and manufacturing teams.
• Passion for high-speed signaling, system-level validation, and continuous learning.
• Familiarity with DSP architecture and ability to write bring-up and tuning code.

• Responsible for system-level tests including functional regression coverage and performance validation across protocol and use-case scenarios.
• Build automation scripts for test execution, data collection, and analysis using Python or other programming languages.
• Conduct environmental and reliability stress testing, including thermal cycling, voltage margining, and soak tests.
• Analyze test results, identify root causes, and drive resolution in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Support platform bring-up, firmware validation, and vendor qualification for high-speed modules.
• Contribute to DSP bring-up and tuning, including writing low-level code for signal processing and link optimization.
• Debug signal integrity and link performance issues using VNA, BERT and oscilloscope.
