JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an ambitious, technically curious and results-driven Sales Manager to drive growth in our EMEA region. This role is ideal for a consultative sales professional who thrives on identifying new opportunities, developing strategic customer relationships and winning complex capital equipment projects.

The Successful candidate will combine a hunter mentality with strong relationship-building skills, leveraging technical aptitude to understand customer processes, identify operational challenges and position CPM’s solutions as trusted business improvements. Working closely with applications engineering and our operations team, you will lead opportunities from prospecting through project execution while building long-term partnerships with food processors throughout the region.

This is a key role within our organization working within a collaborative team based selling model. This position is based near a major international airport or near Brough UK and requires regular travel throughout EMEA, approximately 30-50%.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Meet or exceed annual sales, revenue & profitability and EBITDA objectives
  • Proactively identify, prospect, develop and convert new business opportunities across the EMEA region with a focus on new customer acquisition and strategic development
  • Build and maintain an accurate and robust pipeline
  • Establish trusted advisor relationships with new and existing customers
  • Conduct customer visits to understand operational challenges, business objectives and growth initiatives
  • Understand customer process and production challenges to recommend value-driven solutions
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly and confidently to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Lead presentations, process discussions and solution reviews
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, applications and service teams throughout the sales cycle
  • Prepare compelling commercial proposals and business cases that clearly communicate value and ROI
  • Lead commercial negotiations and successfully close profitable business opportunities
  • Maintain accurate opportunity management, forecasting and customer data in Salesforce
  • Provide customer and market insights that support product development and strategic growth initiatives
  • Prepare customer visit reports, opportunity updates and sales activity documentation as required
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and competitive offerings
  • Represent CPM at trade shows and conferences
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally approximately 30-50%

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, mechanical/chemical engineering, food science or related
  • Minimum of 5 years of successful experience in technical sales, business development or capital equipment sales
  • Demonstrated success identifying, developing, and winning new business opportunities
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and decision makers
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand manufacturing and process environments
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and relationship-building skills
  • Strong commercial acumen and closing ability
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently across a large geographic territory
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and CRM tools
  • Valid passport and ability to travel internationally up to 50%

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Sales Force CRM experience
  • Experience within food processing ingredients, snack foods, nuts or related process manufacturing industries
  • Experience selling customized equipment solutions
  • Knowledge of process engineering, manufacturing operations or food processing environments.
