Position Summary:
Responsible for maintaining and repairing all mechanical equipment and piping in our logistics system.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to the following):
Maintain and rebuild all pumps at all locations.
Operate process mechanical equipment in accordance with documented procedures.
Monitor piping process and equipment to ensure integrity, quality and stability is maintained.
Conduct first line maintenance activities on the automated machinery and equipment.
Report defects or anomalies in a timely manner to maintenance and management team.
Respond to process changes and unplanned equipment stoppages in a timely manner.
Participate in root cause analysis activities to improve product quality and process reliability.
Identify and propose ideas and solutions to help increase efficiency, quality and/or reduce production cost and downtime.
Operate heavy equipment, including backhoes, forklifts, and tractors, for new construction and maintenance at the assigned terminal system.
Improve team performance through knowledge share and best practices.
Weld various components in the assigned terminals (SMAW & GMAW).
Ability to understand basic motor control and field wiring
Able to utilize a 789 multi-processor meter
Understand the theory of analog signal and how they are used in control
Able to trouble shoot Loading Rack metering and related problems
Maintain records, time sheets, permits, and p-cards
Job Qualifications (refers to job, not incumbent):
5 - 7 years related experience in the oil and gas industry is preferred.
Licenses, Certifications or Registrations: Employee must have valid driver s license if operating a company vehicle or their own vehicle for work purposes.
Other:
Ability to read a tape measure for exact measurements.
Requires a high degree of mechanical aptitude.
Basic computer skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, knowledge of standard office equipment, and Microsoft Office platform.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, standard operating procedures written in English.
Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
Must be able to pass all Process Safety Management (PSM), and facility specific operator certifications.
Ability to assume responsibility, perform duties, and handle tasks under potentially stressful and/or hazardous conditions.
Working Conditions (relates to physical environment):
Chemical and industrial environment. Regular exposure to moving machinery and all-weather conditions. Requires regular travel, including overnight stays.
Physical Demands:
Typically, may sit comfortably to perform the work. However, incumbent must be able to drive and/or operate heavy equipment, sit, stand, stoop, push, pull, and lift to 50 lbs. Requires good hearing, near/distant vision, ability to distinguish color, and ability to feel objects(s) size, shape, temperature or texture.
