About this role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Regional Operations Manager with strong time management, organizational skills, a strong work ethic, and flexibility. In this role, you will deliver outstanding service while supporting Originators and Operations team members, while gaining increased leadership exposure within regional operations.

 

  • Success in this role relies on strong time management, organization, and a positive attitude. Key responsibilities include:
    • Manage processing pipeline, including adherence to compliance requirements, as needed
    • Partner with the Regional Operations Manager to identify employee development and training needs and support the implementation of this training
    • Support the delivery of training related to system enhancements, procedural updates, program changes, and workflow/compliance requirements
    • Facilitate operational coverage during team member absences
    • Provide ongoing, constructive feedback to support team development
    • Collaborate with Regional Operations and Branch leadership to identify areas of concern and help implement solutions and process improvements
    • Support management of loan pipelines to help ensure turn-time SLAs are met and loans close on schedule
    • Coordinate backup support during peak volume times for the processing team to maintain service levels
    • Partner with the Loan Processing Lead to manage capacity and identify training opportunities and procedural improvements
    • Coordinate with Regional Operations manager on file flow and post-closing items as required.

  • Solid foundation in mortgage lending operations

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build team cohesion
  • Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to mentor and support development
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to think creatively and approach challenges with resourcefulness
  • NMLS # is preferred but not required

 

High school diploma required 

NMLS # is preferred but not required

 

  • This position requires a minimum of 10+ years of experience in a mortgage operations role.
  • Previous experience as a Processing Team Lead, Supervisor, or Manager preferred.
