Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT)

Position Summary

CORALVITA Healthcare is seeking a skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) to join our clinical team.

The Respiratory Therapist provides high-quality respiratory care to patients with complex medical and pulmonary needs. This role assesses patients, delivers respiratory treatments, manages airway and ventilator care, and collaborates with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary team to support optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess patients and provide respiratory treatments in accordance with physician orders and care plans.

  • Manage oxygen therapy, artificial airways, tracheostomies, mechanical ventilation, and other respiratory support.

  • Monitor patient response, identify changes in condition, and communicate with the interdisciplinary care team.

  • Perform blood gas collection, point-of-care testing, and respiratory equipment setup and monitoring.

  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and provide patient and family education as appropriate.

  • Follow infection prevention, patient safety, regulatory, and equipment maintenance standards.

Minimum Qualifications

Licensure & Certifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.

  • Current, valid, and active state license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).

  • Current BLS certification from a CORALVITA-approved provider.

  • Current ACLS certification, or ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire from a CORALVITA-approved provider.

Experience & Skills

  • One (1) year of critical care, artificial airway, and/or ventilator care experience preferred.

  • Experience with medically complex or post-acute patients preferred.

  • Knowledge of mechanical ventilation, airway management, oxygen delivery systems, respiratory treatments, and blood gas testing.

  • Strong clinical assessment, prioritization, organization, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to make sound decisions within the Respiratory Therapist scope of practice.

  • Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
