Why is this Role Essential?

The Installation Technician plays a critical role in ensuring our dialysis water treatment systems are installed, maintained, and operating safely and efficiently. This position partners closely with the Technical Director and Technical Supervisor to complete installations, preventative maintenance, repairs, and equipment upgrades while supporting regulatory compliance and delivering reliable water quality standards that directly impact patient care.

What Will You Do?

Establish achievable goals, organize day-to-day priorities and assignments of water treatment maintenance and upgrade needs with direct guidance from the Cantata Supervisor.
Ensure policies & procedures are performed in adherence to AAMI/CMS/IDPH Standards across the service line.
Recognize and effectively communicate any process gaps and areas for improvement both from a regulatory and efficiency standpoint. Make suggestions to the Team as to how changes can be implemented for best practices, efficiency process. Finding ways to assist in best patient outcomes and remain consistent with industry standards.
Submit routine reports in a timely fashion and compile these reports for the Director to review. Provide training to the biomed staff as needed to help generate these water treatment equipment reports in a legible fashion using email to supervisor.
Assist the Technical Director and Technical Supervisor in Clinical Staff water treatment training and ancillary water treatment equipment medical devices operations.
Keeps accurate legible records of all disinfections and water testing.
Report any test results that are out of range along with the planned action for correction.
Understand basic operation and makes minor and major repairs of the water treatment delivery systems up to and including pre-treatment and permeate water system repairs and installations.
Identifies parts, chemicals and testing supplies, needed to have on hand to make repairs as well as completed service and preventative maintenance of the water treatment equipment.
Ensure water treatment rooms are clean and tidy.
Responds to emergency water treatment related calls and communicates those situations effectively to the Technical Director and or the Technical Supervisor.
Rotating weekend on call. $150 bonus for weekend On Call.
Installation of water systems. Week long projects. Can be out of state.
Communicate with FWS and/ or managers of Concerto.
Be able to drive work van or rented box truck.
Willing to drive/ fly to projects out of state. Driving to sites 8 hours or less. Flying to sites 8 or more hours away. All travel expenses provided with $60 per day Per Diem.
Stock parts, receive deliveries, clean and maintain the warehouse.

QualificationsWhat's Required?

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience

Minimum one (1) year of experience in dialysis, healthcare, biomedical services, water treatment, plumbing, or a related technical field preferred.
Experience servicing dialysis water treatment equipment strongly preferred.

Knowledge & Skills

Working knowledge of dialysis water treatment systems.
Understanding of AAMI, ANSI/ISO, and CMS water quality standards.
Knowledge of AmeriWater systems preferred.
Plumbing experience preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to lift, position, and move equipment safely.
Ability to stand, bend, climb, and work in mechanical environments for extended periods.

Preferred Certifications

Dialysis water treatment certifications from equipment manufacturers.
Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT) or Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT).
Water Quality Association (WQA) Certified Water Specialist (CWS).
NANT membership preferred.

On Call, Travel, & Work Expectations

Participate in a rotating weekend on-call schedule.
Weekend on-call compensation provided.
Frequent regional and out-of-state travel required.
Company pays all travel expenses and provides daily per diem for overnight travel.
Travel may include driving or flying depending on project location.
Must possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Ability to safely operate company vehicles, including work vans and rental box trucks.
Maintain warehouse inventory and assist with receiving deliveries when not traveling.

Compensation Range: $25 - $38/hr

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
