Student Assistant – Office of the Provost 

Department: Office of the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs
Hours: 8–10 hours per week
Compensation: PAU Student Assistant Hourly Rate

Position Summary

The Office of the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and professional Student Assistant to support a variety of administrative and project-based initiatives. This position provides an excellent opportunity for a PAU student to gain experience in university administration, academic affairs, communications, and event planning while working closely with senior leadership.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support the processing of Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) and Affiliation Agreements, including document tracking, routing, and follow-up with internal and external partners.

  • Assist with communication processes within the Provost's Office, including drafting, editing, organizing, and distributing communications as appropriate.

  • Support the planning and execution of Academic Affairs meetings, workshops, ceremonies, and special events.

  • Provide administrative and logistical support for strategic initiatives and special projects assigned by the Provost.

  • Maintain organized electronic files and documentation while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current Palo Alto University student in good academic standing.

  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.

  • Ability to work independently while maintaining professionalism and discretion with confidential information.

  • Interest in higher education administration, leadership, project management, or academic affairs is desirable.
