Construction Safety Professional | Roofing Project

Wilmington, DE | Temporary Contract | 4–6 Weeks

Compliance Management International (CMI) is seeking an experienced Construction Safety Professional for a commercial roofing project in Wilmington, DE, expected to start on or about September 21, 2026.

This is a temporary 4–6 week contract assignment, with the possibility of an extension or additional CMI project opportunities.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide daily construction safety oversight for roofing operations and subcontractors
  • Conduct site inspections, safety audits, hazard assessments, and field observations
  • Monitor roofing safety, fall protection, fall restraint/arrest systems, ladders, scaffolding, aerial lifts, material handling, and work at heights
  • Review JHAs/JSAs, Pre-Task Plans (PTPs), permits, and toolbox talks
  • Verify proper use of PPE, guardrails, warning lines, personal fall arrest systems, and controlled access areas
  • Identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1926, including applicable Subpart M Fall Protection requirements
  • Maintain required safety documentation and reports

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of construction safety experience
  • Roofing, commercial construction, or work-at-heights safety experience strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA construction and fall protection standards
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification
  • Current First Aid / CPR / AED
  • Strong hazard recognition, communication, and field safety leadership skills
  • Ability to safely access roofing work areas and work outdoors in varying conditions

  • Start: On or about September 21, 2026
  • Duration: Approximately 4–6 weeks
  • Employment: Temporary / Contract
  • Potential for extension or additional CMI projects

This position does not include per diem, travel reimbursement, or relocation assistance. Candidates must have reliable transportation and be able to commute to the Wilmington, DE project site daily without travel assistance.
