As a Front Office Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, helping create a welcoming and positive experience at every interaction. This role is essential to ensuring smooth front-office operations, supporting patient scheduling, registration, insurance verification, and overall administrative efficiency within the medical center. Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner 
 • Answer and direct telephone calls while assisting with patient inquiries and requests 
• Complete new patient registration and accurately enter demographic information into the electronic health record system 
• Verify insurance coverage, patient demographics, and eligibility information to support accurate billing and patient records 
• Conduct patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently and accurately 
• Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments 
• Collect co-payments and self-pay balances while maintaining accurate financial records 
• Document patient messages, requests, and concerns according to established procedures 
• Receive, scan, route, and process incoming documentation and correspondence 
• Assist with forms, referrals, medical records requests, and other patient-related documentation 
 • Maintain efficient patient flow and help minimize wait times throughout the day 
• Utilize Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems for data entry, reporting, and administrative tasks 
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and company policies and procedures 
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a healthcare front office, medical office, or clerical role preferred 
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required 
• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) preferred 
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills 
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities 
• Ability to understand and utilize medical terminology 
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail 
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment 
• Experience processing payments and using credit card terminals preferred 
• Ability to build positive working relationships with patients, providers, and team members 
• Bilingual in English and Spanish or English and Creole preferred
