Schedule Needs: Must be flexible, floater/substitute with hours scheduled as needed to provide coverage based on staffing needs

We are a nonprofit organization that has empowered adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities since 1983. Our mission is to provide quality, individualized, community-based support and training in employment, housing, community living, and other related services.
To be successful at our nonprofit, you'll need to possess a unique set of skills and qualities. Exceptional customer service skills resourcefulness, and teaching skills. Community Interface Services is seeking a compassionate and flexible individual to work alongside individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities and support them in building independence within their communities.
Key Responsibilities
As a floating Community Inclusion Professional, your day is comprised of appointments with participants of our Community Building program. You will meet with each person in a 1-to-1 ratio and provide resources or coaching to help them reach their goals. The average day could look like:
- Traversing the community through public transportation
- Support the individual in finding social, recreational, or volunteer opportunities
- Providing higher education support
- Document progress of each individual that you work with and provide input to further their independence
- Work with the larger team to identify next steps for the program
This line of work can take you all over San Diego, as we are seeking someone flexible to take on coverage needs that arise. If you are seeking flexible work, we have part-time and full-time work available!

QUALIFICATIONS
You will need to have a car in safe working order, vehicle insurance, a valid CA driver's license, and at least 2 years of driving experience. A high school diploma is required for this position, with a bachelor's degree preferred. Another plus is having experience with the I/DD community!
