Job Summary/Overview
This position works within the Belting Cell and is responsible for assembling belt orders, operating production equipment, and performing quality checks according to work orders and specifications.
Work Schedule
Monday - Friday
6:00am - 2:30pm
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs belt assembly and processing operations according to work orders, specifications, and production paperwork.
- Measures, cuts, aligns, and prepares belt materials for production.
- Operates belting equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
- Inspects finished products for defects and performs quality checks throughout the production process.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment and performs 5S activities as required.
- Works in a safe manner while complying with all safety procedures.
- Assists with material handling and movement of products within the department utilizing stationary forklift when required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to read and interpret production paperwork and work instructions.
- Basic computer, measurement, and math skills.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to safely operate production equipment.
- Ability to remain focused and productive while performing repetitive tasks.
- Team player with strong communication skills.
- Ability to be flexible and adjust priorities to reflect changing business needs.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to safely lift/lower/push/pull up to 40 lbs.
- 1+ year of manufacturing experience preferred.
Compensation
$19+/hour depending on experience
