POSITION SUMMARY
Technical Stage Staff is in an integral part Cruise Department, focused on delivering a vibrant and "Remarkably Arabian" experience. This role involves supporting the Stage Supervisor, Entertainment Technical Manager and Cruise Director in the delivery of the Entertainment product to our Guests inside the ship by delivering basic maintenance, repair and operation of live stage and backstage equipment for all shows performed in the main theatres.
The Theater - Technical Stage Staff must be able to understand and react quickly to new directions in a fast-paced environment and adjust to changes in schedules, assignments and deadlines while maintaining a collaborative and positive team environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Expertise in Technical Stage (Theater): Demonstrates ability to assist in performing preventive maintenance & basic repair on scenery including general carpentry, scenic painting, and other maintenance responsibilities as required. Cleans and maintains the backstage areas including workshops. Assists with under stage cleaning, to ensure safe & efficient operation. Performs specific backstage track during performances in theatre with the ability to change directions in a timely manner. Assists with all scenic changeovers and ensures they are completed in a safe and timely manner. Assists with the arrangement of scenery and props on stage as directed during rehearsals, shows, & changeovers. Maintains the overall look and quality of scenic items and personal props. To be able to assist other technicians whenever needed. They will work to ensure a positively, vibrant and culturally immersive guest experience. Must be able to provide quality service and be able to enhance the experience for guests onboard.

Guest Engagement: Provides courteous service to guests and attends to queries and resolves all guests’ complaints immediately. Is aware of, and/or acquires the necessary knowledge to comply with the ship’s standard operation, in order to assist guests and crew members with inquiries.
- Communication: Maintains ongoing communication with Stage Supervisor, Assistant Stage Manager and fellow team members to ensure alignment and address any needs or concerns. Ensures any feedback or ‘guest complaints’ are directed to the right areas for positive and efficient resolution. Coordinates with the Stage Supervisor, Assistant Stage Manager and Entertainment Technical Manager to deliver accurate maintenance tracking sheets during position handover.
- Grooming Standards Compliance: Always adheres to grooming standards in alignment with brand expectations and guidelines.
- Safety and Compliance: Responsible for performing Safety, Environmental, and Emergency Response duties as assigned, in accordance with Aroya Cruises' protocols. Always enforces the company policies and procedures. Attends meetings, training activities, courses and all other work-related activities as required. Manages safety requirements during rehearsals, shows, and changeovers to ensure maximum safety for all involved especially when automation movement is taking place.
- Equipment Management/Maintenance: Reports any equipment in need of repair or replacement to the Stage Supervisor. Maintains and updates records of all shows and changes to backstage tracks, rigging & scenic changes. Maintains and updates auditable inventory of all entertainment props and equipment. Inspects on a weekly basis all electrical cabling for scenic, automation, and lighting; reports any defects to the Supervisor. Maintains and inspects all equipment.
- Inventory Management: Conducts monthly inventory counts and daily checks on inventory in order to ensure that all props and items are available for the shows
- Time Management: Effectively practice proper time management to prepare, execute and break down set ups and venues for assigned activities and events.
- Embarkation/Disembarkation: Supports with guest flow and general assistance of the Hotel Department to ensure the guests receive a ‘remarkably Arabian’ welcome and farewell.
- Additional Duties: Performs other duties which may be reasonably requested by the Stage Supervisor, Entertainment Technical Manager or Cruise Director
SKILLS

Demonstrates strong command of both verbal and written communication skills in English. Proficiency in Arabic is desired.

Capable of addressing issues effectively and developing appropriate solutions.
